42nd VB100 Award - February 2007
Today virusbtn.com released the February 2007 results of the Windows Vista antivirus comparative.
Once again, NOD32 passed inspection and was awarded another VB100 award, in a month marked by some notable failures in the tests.
This comparative was the first time that Vista products had been tested and the following products didn't make the coveted VB100 this time:
- G DATA AntiVirusKit 2007 v. 17.0.6353
- McAfee VirusScan Enterprise version 8.1i
- Microsoft Windows Live OneCare 1.5
- Norman Virus Control v.5.90
Failure to achieve a VB100 can either be caused by not identifying a threat in the test sample, or by a "false positive" - ie, identification of a threat in a harmless file.
